How Do You Respond to Really Bad Things?

Let's say something really bad happened at your company.  Like the web app, which was your main product, was 100% offline, just broken.


What would you say to the person who could fix it (whether or not they were the one that broke it), if you wanted it to be fixed as quickly as possible? 


The Stick: The future of this company depends on you, so if you don't figure it out, you're fired.

The Carrot: The future of this company depends on you, so if you fix it quickly, you'll get a big bonus.

The Truth: We really need your help. You have the full support and resources of everyone here behind you; ask for anything you need. We know you can do it. Thanks for being there for us. We'll all come through this together.
